I have known Kim for nearly 7 years, and have watched her successfully ride, train, and compete a variety of horses; always bringing out the very best in each horse.

When I lived in Connecticut I invited Kim to teach a three day clinic at our farm, as well as at a few neighboring farms. I was so impressed with Kim's commitment to each horse/rider combination. She worked with riders ranging in skill level from beginner to FEI, and every combination visibly improved under her instruction. All 10 riders were so enthused with their progress, that she was promptly invited back the following spring.

As a coach, Kim is positive, upbeat, and attentive every minute of your ride, to bring out the very best in you and your horse. She is on her feet, and in the moment, and her dynamic coaching style adapts to meet the needs of each rider.

I have taken several lessons with Kim on my horses as well as hers. Recently, I have had the privilege of riding "Halston" ( Kim's current horse), and he is an incredible athlete with a wonderful mind. Kim selected "Halston" at the Baden-Württemberger auction in Germany.  Kim has a keen eye for selecting horses, with a proven track record. I would hire Kim to select a horse for me, without hesitation.

As a rider, Kim is hands down, one of the most beautiful, elegant, and effective riders, I have ever known.  Her lifelong dedication to riding clearly shows on every horse she sits on. Her position and connection with each horse is simply beautiful to watch.

As a person, Kim upholds the highest standards of integrity, compassion, and honesty in her personal life as well as in her business dealings.  She has a heart of gold and is the consummate professional.  Her Christian Faith is front and center in her life, and walks the talk, always looking for ways to give of herself and share her Faith with those around her. She has travelled the world on Mission Trips with her church, and selflessly gives of her time, energy, and love.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kim! She is a close friend, and is someone I truly respect and admire as a person, and fellow colleague!

Kim helped me to earn my Bronze medal in just three shows.  She was consistent in our training program and helped me to set obtainable goals for the abilities that my horse and I had.

She operates in a very professional manner and has never skipped out on an appointment or operated in a dishonest manner. She treats all of her students and their horses with respect and helps to build moments of success for each of them right where they are at. I've never seen her lose her temper or use any disagreeable method of training or communication with her horses or clients.

She has a gift for teaching each rider in a way that they can understand and is good with problem solving when faced with challenges.

Kim  has always dedicated the same amount of time to each student whether at home in training or away at a show and has never played favorites.  She gives her all to each student with a heart to see them reach their goals.

She is kind and understanding yet knows when to set boundaries for both horses and students so that everyone is gaining the most potential out of their sessions.

I've had the pleasure of being Kim's student for several years now and I am honored to have her as my instructor.

We first met Kim in 2008 while boarding at the same facility.  At that time she had her beautiful horse, Claudius.  My daughter watched Kim ride and teach.  Eliza had a wonderful trainer at the time, but logistics and scheduling around school became an issue.  Eliza said she would like to take lessons and train with Kim.

Fast forward to 2009 and the opportunity arose for Eliza to become Kim's working student.  As a USDF Junior/Young rider Eliza lept at the chance and started lessons with Kim.  As they say, the rest is history. Kim has mentored Eliza and nurtured her passion for riding.  She has challenged her and made her a better horsewoman and rider, as well as being a good moral influence.

Kim is kind, talented, skilled, knowledgable and always conducts herself in a professional manner. She always keeps the well being of the horse and rider in mind.  If the horse isn't ready, don't force it, if the rider isn't ready, work on it.  For Kim, the strength of the partnership of her client and their horse is the mainstay to her success.

Kim has gone on the long journey with us of rehabilitating Bouccos "Boo"(Eliza's horse) and has helped them achieve a Bronze medal.  A feat, at one time seemed he would never be able to accomplish.  Kim's steadfast commitment, dedication, moral and ethical character make her the great coach and trainer she is.

As the mother of a young rider, you could not place your child in better hands.  Our family is blessed to have found Kim and we are eternally grateful for all the good she has brought to our lives.

Kim and I have formed a partnership over the last 5 years.  I contacted her when my horse, Waltzer, was 6 years old and showing Training/First Level.  I really wanted someone to partner with me on the training process, as I had never ridden above 2nd Level and Waltzer had very little professional training.

She has worked with us through the entire training process, and depending on what we are working on, she would do training rides or give me lessons when I ride.  She did not try to fit Waltzer into a schedule of what he should be doing at a certain age-she allowed him to tell us when he was ready to move on to another level.   It took over a year to confirm his flying change, but she remained patient and in the end her patience paid off by creating a horse that is confident in what is asked of him. Her focus is that the horse must be forward from the hind leg, steady in the contact but not heavy in the hand, and enjoyable

to ride.  All in a very classical style, which is evident when you watch her ride!

As a Trainer, she is easy to understand, patient, very clear in description of the aids, and is never condescending or negative. Always prompt and totally focused on your lesson.

Showing with Stillwaters Dressage has been a really positive experience.  The clients she attracts are all super-they are supportive of each other at the shows, easy to get along with, and enjoy competition without getting really stressed over it.  Kim keeps in mind that the number one priority is the well-being of the horse and rider, and sets attainable goals for each pair.  With Kim’s guidance and expertise, I have been able to earn both my Bronze and Silver Medals on Waltzer, and have the satisfaction of being a partner in the whole training process-which makes it so much more meaningful to me as a rider.

If I had to sum up Still Waters Dressage and Kim Schisler Sosebee in one sentence it would be "The last dressage trainer you and your horse need!".

Before I met Kim, I always admired her elegant riding style.  I sensed that her riding was as kind to the horse as it looked.  After several years of riding with Kim, I can say that her horsemanship, teaching and riding are not only aligned with the classic dressage masters but they all come together to result in happy horses that love their work!   What more could you ask for?

With much gratitude for all that you do for me and my boys.
